Zambia
A large territory centered around the Zambezi floodplain, in Zambia, Bulozi is a rural kingdom federating countless small autonomous villages in a complex system combining forest and river agriculture, cattle herding, various kinds of fishing and exploitation of woodland resources.
"Lozi kingdom : at the rythm of Zambezi" is a CD produced by ALTAMIRA, a sound exploration of the kingdom and its inexhaustible music wealth : elegant court music, large xylophone played swiftly, rare rubbed drum, sweet vocal polyphonies, humorous masks, festive dances carrying an intoxicating good mood...
The last step of the project will involve a final trip on location to organise the partnership with the Nayuma Museum (Lozi cultural center) and the village of Situnda.
