A popular and dynamic city in Ile de France, Saint Denis has been for over a century welcoming migrants, mostly rural, from various places : Britanny, Mali, Spain, Kabylia or West Indies... Our association was born in this cosmopolitan climate enriched by the strong sense of solidarity of its citizen.
With our record project, "La Mémoire en Chantant" ("Singing Memory"), we highlighted the patrimony of songs and music nested in the memory of the elders of Saint Denis. A patrimony with diverse sources, carrying the rich history a city which has been open to the world for generations. More about the project (in french)
We are now connecting our local action to our international action through our project in Madagascar, which will gather poets and musicians from the village of Isorana and those of Saint Denis for a record project and a crosscultural show.
