The Conference
"Women artists of Lake Sebu" is also a conference dedicated to the Lemhadong collective. In this multimedia presentation, Boris Lelong, director of the CD, invites the audience to see and hear the world that gave birth to the music revealed by the CD.
Illustrated by photographies and video clips as well as sound samples, the conference shows the daily environment of the musicians, the difficulties caused by the harsh modernization of the Tboli society, the imaginary inherited from yesterday's forest life, and how this imaginary projects itself in a modernity which concerns us all...
Boris Lelong gave conferences in various places such as the National Museum of Asian Arts (Paris), the Espace Senghor (Brussles), the Croizat Residence (Saint Denis), the Museum of Fine Arts (Valenciennes), the Alliance Française (Paris), the Essava House (Mauritania), etc...
